The Preliminary exam is an elimination test which comprises of two objective types Papers:-

Paper II: – CSAT:- This paper test the general IQ of an individual through Mathematics , Reasoning & Comprehension as well as the aptitude for civil services. After clearing Prelims the next phase is called Mains exam which comprises of FOUR papers & two optionals

Structure of HPAS Exam:
The HPAS examination consists of THREE Stages:
STAGE ONE: Preliminary Examination
It has Objective Type/ Multiple Choice for screening purpose only. It shall comprise of 2 papers.
