The cut off is combined & in 2012 the cut off was around 197, so the candidate should aim at 200 marks which is very attainable.
The General Studies Paper is set in a very conventional manner with focus on History, Geography, Polity, Economy, Science & Punjabi. Some questions testing the knowledge of Computer are also present. Current Affairs related to Punjab also form an important part of the exams. The conventional Subjects should be prepared from basic books. Notes provided at Gurmarg Educareare more than enough to attempt the conventional portion. This part can alternatively be prepared from NCERTs of 10+1 & 10+2. Science part is only of 10th level. However, one should thoroughly & deeply read the study material provided to them. The questions asked are from deep lying facts in the chapters.
